Dear Support Team,

I am an MCT holder currently using an MSDN Platforms Subscription. While working with Azure, I created a resource group and a Databricks service. However, I encountered an issue when attempting to delete the resource group. The following error message was displayed:

Could you please advise on the correct steps to delete the resource group? Alternatively, I would like to know if the resource group will be automatically deleted after a certain period of time.

Additionally, is there any recommended workaround for this issue?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

Venkatesh Raju N

    Hi,

Based on your error and screenshot you are attempting to delete the Azure Databricks managed resource group. This resource group should be automatically deleted when you delete the corresponding Azure Databricks workspace. You cannot manually delete the resource group.

Have you already deleted your Azure Databricks workspace and something went wrong with the deletion? Sometimes there can be an issue and as a result the managed resource group and its contents are left "orphaned". To correct this you will need a Technical support case so that an Azure backend engineer can remove it.

If you have Standard (or higher) level support you may create case yourself in portal. If you have Developer level support a Microsoft External Staff person will open a Technical support request on your behalf. They will request your information via Private message.

Please click Accept Answer and upvote if the above was helpful.

    Thanks.
