Hello Marketplace Support Team,

My publisher account appears to be missing and the manage portal returns a 500 error.

I understand that one or more of my extensions may have violated Marketplace policies due to inclusion of copyrighted movie audio clips.

This was an oversight on my part, and I take full responsibility.

I am willing to:

Immediately remove all copyrighted content

Republish compliant versions

Follow all Marketplace content guidelines strictly

Please let me know if reinstatement is possible after corrective action.

Thank you for your time.

Reinstatement of a publisher account or offer after a policy or IP infringement issue is handled directly by Microsoft through its enforcement and support processes; it is not something that can be completed or confirmed via documentation alone.

    Based on the available information:

    1. Microsoft may remove or suspend listings/offers when there are complaints or allegations of intellectual property infringement or other policy violations.
    2. If a publisher believes another offer or content violates their rights, or if Microsoft receives such a claim, the process is handled under Microsoft’s Notice and Takedown process for services.
    3. When Microsoft refers an infringement-related claim to a publisher, the publisher must respond promptly and comply with any requirements in the Notice and Takedown process.
    4. Microsoft retains sole discretion over removal, suspension, and any subsequent reinstatement of listings/offers in the marketplace.

Actionable steps supported by the context:

    1. Remove copyrighted content from all affected extensions and prepare compliant versions.
    2. Review and follow the applicable Microsoft Publisher Agreement and Marketplace content requirements to ensure future compliance.
    3. Use the official support channel for marketplace publishers to request assistance and review of the account status:
      • Submit a support ticket from within Partner Center to contact the Microsoft Marketplace publisher support team.
    4. If the issue involved an IP complaint or takedown, follow all instructions received from Microsoft under the Notice and Takedown process and respond promptly.

Whether reinstatement is possible, and under what conditions, is determined case-by-case by Microsoft after reviewing the violation, the corrective actions taken, and any related IP or policy concerns. The correct path is to work directly with Microsoft Marketplace publisher support and, where applicable, through the Notice and Takedown process.
