duplicating function then ignoring function and my choices

just had carpel tunnel and grumpy installed. not personal but please data guys/ladies...some time back I asked why my choices in 'personalizing' in Edge were being ignore. DO I WANT AI SUMMARY OF MY news feed? I chose [NO], in all trusting that y'all Edgies would HONOR my choices. But, no. I was ignored via programming and had to go back to check the box the 'OFF' again, and yet again, and as a result, had to keep doing it until today, trusting to luck and MS data guys, that all I had to do was go back and refresh my "personalization". NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW I find that there is no longer a permanent "NO AI SUMMARY" choice in personalization choices. NOW I must turn off the function every time I see it or don't and have my fed dumbed down by [oops] sanitized by AI. CHOICES should be honored, not ignored, please. OK [hunt 'n peck] grump funktion OFF...
