Hello,
WebView2 is actually required for modern Office features. Excel uses Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime to load web-based features such as Copilot, add-ins, and other cloud experiences. Even if you are not actively using Copilot, Excel still loads the WebView2 processes in the background to support these features.
In your screenshot, Excel uses around 7 GB RAM and WebView2 processes use additional memory. This behavior is expected when large workbooks, multiple add-ins, or cloud features are active.
To help Excel run smoothly, well I suggest keeping Office updated, disabling unnecessary add-ins from File, Options, Add-ins, and repairing Office from Control Panel if performance remains high. WebView2 Manager itself is a system component and should not be removed, since Office depends on it for proper functionality.
