    Hi Alan Trotman,

Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. Let's get directly to these other fixes and see if it will solve the issue.

    A. Repair WebView2 properly. It may be corrupted.

    1. Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
    2. Find Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime
    3. Click Change > Repair. If “Repair” is not available:
    4. Manually reinstall properly:
    5. Download the Evergreen Standalone Installer (x64) from Microsoft at https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/. Run the installer (Standalone installer) as Administrator. Restart PC after installation.

    B. Complete reset of New Teams.

    1. Uninstall Teams
    2. Delete Leftover Files
    3. Press Windows + R, paste: %localappdata%\Microsoft\
    4. Delete the Teams folder.
    5. Then also check: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\
    6. Delete any Teams folder there.
    7. Restart PC.
    8. Reinstall Teams (New Version)
    9. Download at https://aka.ms/getnewteams
    10. Install as Administrator.

    C. Check WebView2 service.

    1. Press Windows+R.
    2. Type: services.msc
    3. Look for anything related to Edge WebView2.
    4. If disabled:
    5. Set to Automatic.
    6. Start it.

    D. Check your Windows version.

    New Teams requires:

    1. Windows 10 version 1903+
    2. Windows 11 fully updated
    3. To check, press Win + R
    4. Type: winver

If Microsoft Teams is indicating that you need to download Edge WebView2 but your computer states that it is already installed, here are some detailed troubleshooting steps you can follow:

    1. Check Installation Status:
      • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and look for Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. If it is listed there, it means that it is installed.
    2. Restart Your Device:
      • Restarting your computer can help clear any temporary issues that might be causing the problem. This can also complete any pending updates that may be required.
    3. Close All Related Applications:
      • Ensure that all applications that might be using WebView2, such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Edge, or any other related applications, are completely closed. Sometimes, open applications can lock files that are needed for installation or updates.
    4. Run the Installer as Administrator:
      • If you attempt to reinstall WebView2, right-click the installer file and select Run as administrator. This ensures that the installer has the necessary permissions to make changes to your system.
    5. Check Disk Space:
      • Make sure you have sufficient disk space available on your system drive (usually C:). It is recommended to have at least 1-2 GB of free space to allow for installations and updates. You can check this by opening File Explorer and looking at the properties of your system drive.
    6. Reinstall WebView2:
      • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to uninstall WebView2 from the Control Panel and then reinstall it. You can download the installer from the official Microsoft Edge WebView2 page. Choose either the Evergreen Bootstrapper or the Evergreen Standalone Installer based on your needs.
    7. Check for Windows Updates:
      • Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date, as some updates may be necessary for WebView2 to function correctly.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
