Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. Let's get directly to these other fixes and see if it will solve the issue.
A. Repair WebView2 properly. It may be corrupted.
- Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
- Find Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime
- Click Change > Repair. If “Repair” is not available:
- Manually reinstall properly:
- Download the Evergreen Standalone Installer (x64) from Microsoft at https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/. Run the installer (Standalone installer) as Administrator. Restart PC after installation.
B. Complete reset of New Teams.
- Uninstall Teams
- Delete Leftover Files
- Press Windows + R, paste: %localappdata%\Microsoft\
- Delete the Teams folder.
- Then also check: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\
- Delete any Teams folder there.
- Restart PC.
- Reinstall Teams (New Version)
- Download at https://aka.ms/getnewteams
- Install as Administrator.
C. Check WebView2 service.
- Press Windows+R.
- Type: services.msc
- Look for anything related to Edge WebView2.
- If disabled:
- Set to Automatic.
- Start it.
D. Check your Windows version.
New Teams requires:
- Windows 10 version 1903+
- Windows 11 fully updated
- To check, press Win + R
- Type: winver
