    Hi @meah Davy,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out. To utilize your Surface Pro 7 as a dedicated digital whiteboard or "notice board" on a larger Windows 11 Pro display, you may implement one of the following two configurations:

    Method 1/ Wireless projection (Miracast)

This configuration allows you to use your Windows 11 desktop as a secondary wireless receiver.

    • On the Windows 11 Desktop: Navigate to Settings > System > Projecting to this PC. Ensure the Wireless Display optional feature is installed. Once confirmed, launch the Wireless Display app to prepare the system for an incoming connection.
    • On the Surface Pro 7: Use the shortcut Win + K to open the Cast menu and select your desktop from the list of available devices.
    • Use Case: Ideal for maintaining visibility of Microsoft Whiteboard or OneNote on a larger screen without cable constraints.

Method 2/ Wired connection (hardware interface)

For environments requiring high stability and minimal latency, a direct hardware connection is recommended.

    • Connect the Surface Pro 7 to the external monitor using a compatible USB-C to HDMI or DisplayPort adapter.
    • Once connected, adjust your display preferences to Duplicate or Extend via the Windows Display settings.

I hope this helps you get your digital planner up and running efficiently. If you encounter any technical hurdles during the setup, please don't hesitate to let me know.

To connect your Surface Pro 7 to a larger desktop screen, you can use either a wired or wireless connection. Here’s how to do it:

    Wired Connection:

    1. Use an HDMI or DisplayPort Cable: Depending on the ports available on your desktop monitor, connect your Surface Pro 7 using an HDMI or DisplayPort cable. If your desktop monitor supports HDMI, use an HDMI cable for the best experience.
    2. Adjust Display Settings: Once connected, right-click on the desktop and select Display settings. Here, you can choose how you want to use the display (e.g., Duplicate, Extend).
    3. Set Resolution: Ensure that the resolution is set correctly to match your desktop monitor's capabilities. You can adjust this in the Display settings under Scale and layout.

    Wireless Connection:

    1. Use Miracast: If your desktop monitor supports Miracast, you can project wirelessly. Press Windows key + P on your Surface Pro 7 and select Connect to a wireless display. Choose your desktop monitor from the list.
    2. Adjust Display Settings: Similar to the wired connection, you can adjust the display settings to suit your needs.

By following these steps, you should be able to use your larger screen as a notice board or whiteboard planner effectively.
