is there a fix for this does anyone know? have they come across it before?

this is the error message: We were unable to make ******@icloud.com your primary alias. Please try again later.

i am trying to amend and update my email in teams to be contacted instead of using a really old email account.

they are both stored on microsoft but simply wont allow me to use my icloud as primary but can still get OTP emailed to icloud to verify its me etc.

any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

This happens because some Microsoft accounts, including Teams Free, restrict certain domains from being primary, even if you can verify them with an OTP. Make sure your iCloud address is added as an alias at https://account.microsoft.comunder Your info > Manage how you sign in to Microsoft, and verify it if needed.

If it’s added but still won’t become primary, the system may be blocking it due to account type or domain restrictions.

Well, I suggest waiting a few hours and retrying.
