Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand Outlook for Mac began crashing after the most recent update (16.106), mainly when replying (not when composing a new email). I am happy to assist you. Please switch back to Legacy Outlook when the new Outlook experience is causing problems. In Outlook for Mac, go to Help > Revert to Legacy Outlook. In additional, please also:
- Install the newest Outlook build via Microsoft’s Mac update packages
- See the current Outlook for Mac update packages and release history on Microsoft Learn. From there, you can obtain the latest Outlook update package for Office Mac (Version 16.106.2) and apply it to your installation.
- Check Microsoft’s “known issues / workarounds” hub for Outlook for Mac
- Open a support case from inside Outlook for Mac and attach logs (if the crash persists after steps 1–3)
- Use Help > Contact Support in Outlook for Mac. Allow log collection (Select Continue), then enter your details and start the conversation.
