Dear @Geoffrey Wheeler,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand you want to regularly schedule meetings the same way and just want Outlook to remember your preference for you.
Unfortunately, at the moment Outlook doesn’t provide a way to set a global default recurrence for all new calendar items.
In this case, each new item will always open with “No recurrence,” and you need to manually choose the pattern > Once the pattern is created, Outlook will generate a meeting series that follows the recurrence settings you selected.
In Classic Outlook, it does fully support the type of recurrence. Select your meeting (or create new meeting > in the Meeting tab > choose Recurrence (Press Ctrl + G) > Monthly, you can choose the relative monthly options. For reference: Schedule a meeting or event in Outlook
For example:
- The 1st / 2nd / 3rd / 4th / last Monday of every month
- The same weekday as the appointment’s start date, repeated monthly
Moreover, Microsoft actively uses customer feedback to decide which improvements to prioritize. You can send your idea or your feedback directly to the Outlook product team using the in‑app Feedback option. Go to Classic Outlook > Help > Feedback > Make a suggestion.
Please be reassured that if there is any update from Microsoft, I will share with you as soon as possible.
