Daily email limits while using Microsoft Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024

I purchased Microsoft Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024. I am being limited to the number of emails I can send daily. I am not sending over 500 emails on a daily basis. Why is the limit on my accounts so low?

    I would like to clarify that Microsoft Office LTSC does not control daily email sending limits. Office LTSC only provides the Outlook desktop application. All email sending limits are enforced by the email service behind your mailbox (for example, Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online), not by the Office license itself.

    These limits are recipient‑based, not message‑based. For example:

    • 1 email sent to 1 person = 1 recipient
    • 1 email sent to 50 people = 50 recipients
    • Sending multiple emails to multiple recipients can quickly reach the daily limit, even if the total number of emails sent seems low.

    This behavior is expected and is designed to protect email services from spam and abuse. The same limits apply regardless of whether you use Outlook from Office LTSC, Microsoft 365 Apps, or Outlook on the web.

    For scenarios that require sending emails to a large audience, I recommend:

    • Using Distribution Groups or Microsoft 365 Groups for internal communications
    • Using Microsoft 365 High Volume Email for large‑scale internal messaging (admin‑managed)
    • Using dedicated bulk or notification email services for high‑volume external emails
