How to set up existing Tab pages in Edge that were ruined by latest Windows Update?

After the latest Windows 11 update, I found my New tab pages had changed:

  1. My two rows of icon links were changed to one row; the second row was erased.
  2. Now there are dozens of unwanted video and other links that appear below the icon links instead of the previous blank page, which was what I prefer.

How do I return the look and structure of the New Tab pages to the previous incarnation? There used to be a switch to indicate one or two rows of icons and a switch that would turn off all the video links in favor of a blank page with only the preferred icons showing. Where are these switches?

    Hello !

In the "New tab" page", you should have a little cogwheel icon in the top-right corner. Here, you can change the number of displayed rows, and disable Bing content in the New tab page.
It should look like this :
    User's image

If you cannot see this menu, make sure you disable the Copilot Discover Preview.

Please let me know if you have any other questions !

Cannot find ""customize quick links" option. Where is it? New instructions are too confusing to achieve the results I need. Why did the update change and destroy what I previously had?
