The backlight on My daughter’s surface has stopped working. I need to send her machine in for hardware support so that she can continue with her school work. We can’t afford to buy a new machine every 3/4 years. Surely your machines can be fixed?

2026-02-10T01:41:10.49+00:00 Is it under the warranty?
I recommend checking the warranty status first, then opening a repair request through the Surface Support Portal.
Even if coverage has expired, Microsoft offers paid repair options, so you don’t have to buy a new device.
Service requests can be submitted online, and if your device remains under warranty or is covered by a protection plan, repairs or replacements may be provided at no additional cost.
