Hello @Bridgette Young
Welcome to Q&A forum!
I understand that this issue can be very confusing, especially when there is no error message to help identify the cause. However, to support you more accurately, I will need a bit more information, since sync problems in OneNote can come from many different sources.
1/ Verify your account type
I understand that you've posted this thread in the Educational forum, but I would like to reconfirm your account type to ensure we can provide the most appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please let me know which of the following applies to your account:
- Personal account (e.g., @hotmail.com, @outlook.com)
- Educational account (e.g., @schoolname.edu)
- Business account (e.g., @yourcompany.com or @onmicrosoft.com)
2/ You also mentioned that you use both OneNote and OneNote for Windows 10 on your laptop. Could you please clarify whether you are using only the OneNote for Windows 10 version for this issue on a different device?
If you are using the full OneNote experience on Windows 10, I have found related documentation about this issue.
What is happening to OneNote for Windows 10 - Microsoft Support
I suggest exporting your OneNote files to protect your data, and using the latest OneNote app for the best and most updated experience.
"Get the latest OneNote experience"
The OneNote app on Windows is available in the Microsoft Store and is included with Microsoft 365. When you search for “OneNote,” this version will appear by default.
Hope my information will support you!
