Have a look at Excel> Preferences - AutoComplete to confirm that the box is checked for Show AutoComplete options,,, & that the Show options after typing value box is checked. Set to the number of letters you prefer.

    Hi @Carter, Allison Danielle

Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A.

Based on the information you shared, I understand that you are using the Excel 2024 desktop app, but when you type =seq, the SEQUENCE function does not appear, and you need it for your class.

Based on my research and testing in my own environment, the SEQUENCE formula is available and works normally in supported Excel versions. To help identify what’s happening in your case, could you please try the steps below?

-Check your exact Excel version: Go to Excel > About Excel

Please take a screenshot or note the full version number and share it

-Make sure Excel is updated to the latest version

In Excel, go to Help > Check for Updates > Install any available updates and restart Excel

-Test the function in Excel on the web

-Try typing the full function name manually

Instead of typing =seq, type the full formula: =SEQUENCE()

Sometimes autocomplete does not work even though the function is supported

    -Check via Formula Builder

In Excel, go to View > Formula Builder > Search for SEQUENCE and see if the function appears there

Please let me know the Excel version you are using and whether the function works in Excel on the web. I’ll be happy to help you further.
