    Hello @Demerdjiev, Kate

    Welcome to Q&A forum!

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to completely remove a transcript from a Teams chat so that no one else can see it. Here’s why:

    • Teams stores data centrally: All chat messages and meeting transcripts are saved on Microsoft’s servers and follow your organization’s retention and compliance policies. This ensures records are kept for security and legal reasons.
    • Deleting only affects your view: If you delete a message, it disappears from your chat, but the transcript and other participants’ messages remain. Meeting transcripts are also linked to the meeting details and stored in OneDrive or SharePoint.
    • Shared access remains: If the transcript has already been shared, others with access can still view it. Removing it from your account doesn’t revoke their permissions.

Note: As Microsoft Community moderators, please note that we are not involved in product design decisions and do not have direct access to the development roadmap, we want to assure you that your feedback has been acknowledged and is valued.

Hope for your understanding about this matter.

To delete a transcript from a Teams chat so that other participants can't see it, you can use the Microsoft Graph Explorer or eDiscovery features available to admins. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Using Microsoft Graph Explorer: You can use the Remove-MgUserOnlineMeetingTranscript command to delete the transcript associated with a specific online meeting. You will need the CallTranscriptId, OnlineMeetingId, and UserId to execute this command effectively.
    2. Using eDiscovery: Admins can also search for and delete chat messages in Microsoft Teams through eDiscovery. This is particularly useful for responding to incidents where confidential information has been shared.

For more detailed instructions on these methods, you can refer to the respective documentation on managing transcripts and chat messages in Teams.
