Additional sign-in or account-related issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Dear @Vansh Saini,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand you’re frustrated by being stuck at the "Just a moment" screen when trying to log into Microsoft Teams, even after trying several troubleshooting steps. This issue is often related to cached data or authentication conflicts. Let’s work through a focused solution.
Step 1: Perform a complete Teams clean reinstall
Since a simple reinstall may not remove corrupted cache, let's do a thorough clean removal first.
- Fully Uninstall Teams:
- Close Teams completely (right-click its system tray icon > Quit).
- Uninstall "Microsoft Teams" via Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Crucial: Press Windows Key + R, type
%appdata%, and press Enter. Delete the Microsoft folder, then the Teams folder inside it. - Repeat for
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Teamsand%appdata%\Microsoft Teams. For comprehensive sign-in troubleshooting, please see: Clear the Teams client cache
- Download & Reinstall as Administrator:
- Download the latest Teams installer from the official Microsoft Teams download page.
- Right-click the downloaded installer file and select Run as administrator.
Step 2: Verify System & Account State
Eliminate common underlying causes.
Time Sync (Re-check):
- Press
Windows + R, type cmd, then pressCtrl+Shift+Enterto open Command Prompt as admin. - Run these two commands:
w32tm /resyncnet start w32time
Test Your Account via Web:
- Open an InPrivate/Incognito window in Microsoft Edge or Chrome.
- Go to Teams on the web. Try to sign in.
- If the web version works, the issue is isolated to your desktop app. If it also hangs, the issue may be with your account or tenant.
Step 3: Network & Security Check
Temporary configuration conflicts can cause this.
- Temporarily Disable VPN/Proxy: If you use either, disable it and try Teams again.
- Temporarily Pause Firewall/Antivirus: Disable any third-party security suite for a brief test. If Teams then loads, reconfigure your software to exclude Teams.
- Flush DNS: In your admin Command Prompt, run
ipconfig /flushdns
Step 4: Advanced Repair
If the above fails, use Microsoft's dedicated repair tool.
- Download and run the Download Enterprise Version of Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant from Official Microsoft Dow…
- Select Microsoft Teams > Teams won't sign in and follow the automated diagnosis.

Please note that as a forum moderator, I don’t have access to backend tools or internal systems to investigate further, and certain settings or configurations are managed exclusively by your organization’s administrators, so I’m unable to check or make changes on that side. That said, I truly hope these suggestions help you move forward.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or if the problem persists after trying these solutions. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
