Thank you for raising this question. After reviewing the feature and running tests across multiple accounts and devices (including desktop and mobile), I can confirm what Ruwim.B mentioned earlier: Microsoft Teams does remember the last background setting you applied.

This means If you set your background to Blur during a meeting, Teams will keep that setting for all subsequent calls until you manually change it. You do not need to reapply the blur effect every time you join a meeting, just make sure you set it once, and it will persist.

To set a blurred background as the default for your camera in Microsoft Teams, follow these steps:

1. Launch Microsoft Teams and enter a meeting or start a video call.
2. Before joining the call, look for the Background effects option, which is typically represented by an icon of a person with a background.
3. Click on this option to view the available background effects.
4. Choose the Blur option to apply a blurred background to your video feed.
5. While Teams does not currently allow you to permanently set this as a default for all future meetings, you can select it each time you join a call to maintain the blurred effect.

Keep in mind that the availability of background effects may depend on your camera and system specifications.
