I'm attempting to migrate an on-premise server to azure using the new built-in migration tool in SSMS 22.
I'm only able to use Entra ID to authenticate into the Azure server, and when attempting to connect to the target server I don't see any option for Entra ID authentication, just SQL and Windows authentication.
Am I missing something or is Entra ID authentication not supported by the new migration tool?

There is always the BACPAC way. There is also the Data Migration Service, which I have not tried myself.
I would not surprised if later versions of SSMS will come with support to migration to Azure, but when that would happen - I don't know.
On the first page in the wizard, it says that the target server can be SQL Server 2016 and above. That would suggest that Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance are currently not supported.
In that case, do you know what would be a good replacement for Data migration assistant? I know azure data studio is currently listed as an alternative, but that will also be retiring in Febuary
