We use Microsoft 365 apps for Enterprise in our organisation and some of our users have started to try the Outlook (New) client however when attempting to access this today they got presented with an error that states "Update to keep using Outlook" "Visit the Microsoft Store to install the latest version of Outlook".
Why the reason getting this message?

Meu outlook, ao tentar abrir, exibe a seguinte mensagem: Visit the Microsoft Store to install the latest version of Outlook.

As a "New Years' Resolution", I decided to try the new outlook but kept getting the "Visit the Microsoft Store to install the latest version of Outlook" message. In the Microsoft store, it doesn't show up in the list of apps that has an update and the app's page only shows a link to open the app. I tried to reset the app but it didn't help.
What worked for me was uninstalling the app. Then, the app store page showed a button to update. However, after the update, it chose to automatically sign into a random past account that I don't use. After exiting the login page and restarting the app, I was eventually able to sign into the correct account.

The message "Update to keep using Outlook" typically indicates that the version of the Outlook client being used is outdated and requires an update to continue functioning properly. This can occur if the user has not installed the latest version of Outlook from the Microsoft Store or if there are compatibility issues with the current version and the Microsoft 365 services.
For organizations using Microsoft 365 apps for Enterprise, it's important to ensure that users have access to the latest updates. If the Microsoft Store is blocked in your organization, users may need to install the new Outlook using an alternative method, such as downloading the installer directly from the Office CDN.
