Hello,
ROK licenses are technically tied to, customized by, and supported by the hardware manufacturer (OEM) such as Dell, HPE, or Lenovo. Microsoft does not maintain records of ROK keys, nor do we provide the specific BIOS-locked media required for these installations.
Solution
- Identify the Hardware Vendor: Determine the manufacturer of the server where the software runs.
- Contact Vendor Support: Reach out to that manufacturer’s technical support or licensing division directly.
- Provide Proof: Supply them with the Server Serial Number (or Service Tag) and your original invoice/proof of purchase.
- Request Replacement: Ask for a replacement media kit. Since you have the backup key, you primarily need the official installation ISO from them to ensure the license activates correctly against the hardware.
I am willing to follow up if you encounter specific errors during the re-installation process once you obtain the media.
