Thank you for sharing the details of your concerns. Based on your description, I'd like to offer the following insights and recommendations to help address the issue. Unfortunately, Microsoft limits the ability to change billing frequency mid-term, this is by design. To switch from monthly to yearly billing, you'll need to cancel the existing subscription and repurchase it with the desired yearly payment option. We recommend doing this close to your next billing date to avoid service disruption.
To cancel your existing subscription:
Step 1: Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
Step 2: Navigate to Billing > Your products.
Step 3: Locate Teams Premium.
Step 4: Select Manage or Cancel subscription, then follow the prompts to complete the cancellation.
Once canceled, you can repurchase the subscription and select yearly billing during checkout
Step 1: Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Step 2: Navigate to Billing > Purchase services.
Step 3: Search for Teams Premium.
Step 4: Select the plan, specify the number of licenses and choose yearly billing during checkout.
Step 5: Complete the checkout process.
