My university will delete the accounts with the domain @lamolina.edu.pe that are from Google and replace them with @lamolina.pe from Microsoft. However, with the first account I have created and am paying for my OneNote and my Office package, will these be completely deleted?

    Hi.

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Thanks for explaining your situation. You're concerned about whether your personal Microsoft Office and OneNote subscriptions.

No, your paid subscriptions will not be deleted automatically—as long as they are tied to a personal Microsoft account and not one managed by your university.

    • If you purchased Office or OneNote using your @lamolina.edu.pe email but registered it as a personal Microsoft account, you will retain access even after the university deactivates the email domain.
    • However, if your subscription was part of a school-provided license (e.g., Office 365 Education), then yes, access will likely be revoked once the account is deleted.

    To check:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com and sign in with your @lamolina.edu.pe email.
    2. Under Subscriptions, verify whether your Office and OneNote licenses are listed and whether they are paid by you or provided by your organization.

What should you do before the university deletes the old account?

    1. Back up your OneNote notebooks:
    2. Switch to a personal Microsoft account:
      • If your current subscription is personal, consider updating the email address associated with your Microsoft account to a new one (e.g., a personal Gmail or Outlook address).
      • This ensures you won’t lose access when the university deactivates the old domain.
    3. Sign in to the new @lamolina.pe account separately:
      • You can use multiple accounts in OneNote and Office apps. Just make sure you’re signed into the correct one for your paid services.
