Customizing the visual backdrop during video calls to enhance privacy or presentation
Hi,
I have the same issue with Snapchat/Maybelline filters on my mac. This is only happening on the new Teams. Classic team works fine.

Hey,
I recently downloaded the New Microsoft teams after my colleagues were using video effects and filters, like the balloons when you do a peace sign, or the Snapchat/Maybelline filters.
The video camera works fine, the background effects work fine, but when I try and use a filter for my face the screen just goes green, kind of like a green screen but it wipes out everything (see screenshots).
I've updated my Mac to the latest software, I have uninstalled and re-installed teams, I have tried using the microsoft teams web version, nothing works!
What on earth is going on?

Hello Ladybird1234, unfortunately, I don't know of any other troubleshooting steps to take. There are other more experienced experts in the community, and they might be able to help you out.
Thanks for replying Stephen.
My steps to get to where you were navigating were slightly different, but I have checked and the camera is enabled for Microsoft Teams.
There aren't any other applications running, so I'm not sure what the issue is. I can see my camera normally and some of the backgrounds work, but just not the visual effects ones.
Any other thoughts?
Cheers!

You're right, the green screen effect replacing your video with Teams video effects is not the expected behavior. Here are some potential reasons why you might be facing this issue and troubleshooting steps to try:
Follow these steps to Enable Hardware Acceleration:
Open Apple Menu. Go to System Preferences. Click on Security & Privacy. Select the Privacy tab. Look for General and click the lock icon to unlock settings if needed (enter your admin password). Under Allow apps to access:, check the box for Camera. Quit and relaunch Microsoft Teams.
Hope this helps.
