Country code not supported

I've been trying to add my phone number to my microsoft account, but i kept getting an error (We don't support that country code. Use an email instead) How do fix this? I want to add a phone number not an email.

    Good day AngeloPH, thanks for your question. I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. If this is also related to your rewards account, please ensure that you are not using VPN or an extension on your browser that might interfere with the way you earn points and also I would suggest to monitor it for a bit more of time as there might be an issue on the system or server that is interfering with this one (you can also try a different browser as an alternative or clean up the current browser that is in use) but if it will still be same later today or tomorrow then you can head over to the link below to check it directly with the MS Rewards Support as they have information and access to provide on what transpired on the issue that you have encountered and my apologies on this as well.
