Feature Request: Add Support for Remote Desktop Services Virtual Channels in RDCMan

Feature request: It is requested that Remote Desktop Connection Manager (RDCMan) supports Remote Desktop Services virtual channels (VC).
Currently, Remote Desktop Services virtual channels (VC) do not function with RDCMan. More details about Remote Desktop Services virtual channels can be found here: Virtual Channels Documentation.
When utilizing Remote Desktop (mstsc.exe), virtual channels can be established between the client and the server. A specific scenario involves using a smart card middleware that is installed on both the client and the server, which requires a VC for communication. This setup works seamlessly with mstsc, but fails to function with RDCMan. While RDCMan is an excellent tool, the absence of VC support significantly hinders its optimal use.
A support ticket was submitted to Microsoft support with SR number #2502130050003878, but there has been no resolution, as it is a free Sysinternals product.

David O Diamond 0 Reputation points2026-03-12T15:55:27.52+00:00 I know this is an older thread, but the original request is still very relevant. It would be incredibly useful if RDCMan could remote to, for instance, Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD).
