    The update was not being overwritten on the existing Windows image of the affected machines due to corrupted files and a Windows component issue. To verify, the update was deployed to a clean machine, where it installed successfully. The deployment is now confirmed to be functioning as expected.

    1,The error 0x8007066A translates to: The upgrade cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade. Could be a number of reasons, are you running the latest update of the client?

    2,A similar thread for your reference. The issue is resolved by Enabling Delta Content on the SCCM Client settings.

    What is you current SCCM version? Client version?

    Have you checked the client logs?
