No matter what I try, the password doesn't save correctly. I copy / paste the password in the profile, it fails, paste the same password on the invalid password screen, I get through without issue.

May be related, I have this issue only on 1 server, which I added today. The difference being this server has a long domain name (11 chars) as well as a long server name (14 chars). All other servers/domains I connect to which save the credentials successfully are shorter. When I get the password rejected screen, the full domain is displayed.

I am having the same issue, passwords saving longer than mine, then get invalid password, but I type in my credentials they work. Very frustration. And I guess no one has an answer.

I have the same issue on 3.1, but it was working for several years until sometime Q4 of 2025. I have tried re-entering the passwords, it works 1 time, then the next time, it says wrong username or password. It couldn't be domain name length as that is 4 characters, and it was working fine prior to the end of last year. I guess the answer is maybe it's time to switch to something better. It could be something MS did for security reasons?? Whatever caused it, it has made the program far less useful--it is freeware after all, so maybe we are asking too much?
