Vssadmin list providers

Lists registered volume shadow copy providers.

Syntax

vssadmin list providers

Parameters

There are no parameters for this command.

Remarks

• The vssadmin list providers command displays the provider name, the provider type, the provider ID, and the version of each installed shadow copy provider.

Examples

To list the currently registered shadow copy providers, type:

vssadmin list providers

Output similar to the following is displayed:

Provider name: 'Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider 1.0'
   Provider type: System
   Provider Id: {b5946137-7b9f-4925-af80-51abd60b20d5}
   Version: 1.0.0.7
