This option is for DEC™ Alpha and MIPS® platforms. Use it to control whether communal variables (uninitialized global data items) are allocated in .sdata or .bss. Communal variables smaller than or equal to the /GPSIZE value are allocated in .sdata. Communal variables larger than this value are allocated in .bss.
